Welcome to VelvetDrop. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VelvetDrop website, online store, products, services, and related offerings.

By accessing our website or placing an order with VelvetDrop, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. About VelvetDrop

VelvetDrop is an online retail and gifting business offering products including, but not limited to:

  • Watches

  • Perfumes and attars

  • Handbags and accessories

  • Corporate gifting products

  • Gift hampers and customized gift boxes

  • Personalized and customized products

VelvetDrop reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue products and services at any time.

2. Eligibility

By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

  • The information provided by you during checkout or inquiry is accurate and complete.

  • If you are purchasing on behalf of a company or organization, you have the authority to place the order on its behalf.

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices, and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However:

  • Actual product colours may vary depending on your device or screen settings.

  • Minor variations in size, colour, packaging, texture, or appearance may occur.

  • Product images may be for representation purposes where specifically indicated.

  • Product availability may change without prior notice.

VelvetDrop reserves the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product information at any time.

4. Prices

All product prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without prior notice.

The final amount payable will be displayed at checkout or communicated to the customer before confirmation of a customized or corporate order.

Any applicable taxes, shipping charges, customization charges, or other additional charges will be communicated or displayed where applicable.

5. Orders

Placing an order through our website does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the order.

VelvetDrop reserves the right to:

  • Accept or reject an order.

  • Cancel an order due to product unavailability.

  • Cancel an order in case of pricing or listing errors.

  • Request additional information for order verification.

  • Cancel orders suspected of fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

If an order is cancelled by VelvetDrop after payment has been received, the eligible amount will be refunded to the customer through the applicable payment method or another mutually agreed method.

6. Payment Terms

Customers must complete payment using the payment methods made available by VelvetDrop.

For corporate gifting, bulk orders, customized orders, and special projects, different payment terms may apply.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • 70% advance payment is required to confirm a bulk/customized order.

  • A ₹1,000 token amount may be required to initiate certain corporate gifting or customized orders.

  • The token amount is non-refundable, subject to the specific commercial terms agreed with the customer.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before dispatch or delivery, as communicated by VelvetDrop.

Orders will not be considered confirmed until the required advance/token payment has been received.

7. Corporate & Bulk Orders

For corporate gifting and bulk orders, the customer may be required to confirm:

  • Quantity

  • Product selection

  • Packaging

  • Customization

  • Branding requirements

  • Delivery location

  • Delivery date

  • Artwork/design approvals

  • Payment schedule

Customers are encouraged to confirm bulk orders sufficiently in advance, preferably at least one month before the required delivery date, especially for customized or festive orders.

Once production, customization, procurement, or packaging has commenced, cancellation or modification may not be possible.

Any additional cost resulting from changes requested after approval may be charged separately.

8. Customized Products

Customized products may include personalized packaging, company logos, names, messages, tags, printing, engraving, branding, or other modifications.

Before production, VelvetDrop may request approval of artwork, design, spelling, logo, or other details.

Once the customer approves the final design, VelvetDrop will not be responsible for errors contained in the customer-approved artwork or information.

Customized products may not be eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation unless the product received is defective, damaged, or materially different from the approved order.

9. Shipping & Delivery

VelvetDrop will make reasonable efforts to dispatch and deliver orders within the estimated timeline communicated to the customer.

Delivery timelines may vary due to:

  • Courier delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Public holidays

  • Natural events

  • Operational issues

  • Incorrect or incomplete customer information

  • Remote delivery locations

  • High-volume festive periods

  • Events outside VelvetDrop's reasonable control

The customer is responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and contact details.

VelvetDrop shall not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

10. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are advised to inspect their package immediately upon delivery.

If a package appears damaged, tampered with, or opened, the customer should record an unboxing video from the beginning of opening the package until the contents are fully inspected.

For eligible damage, shortage, wrong-product, or transit-related claims, VelvetDrop may request:

  • Unboxing video

  • Photographs

  • Order details

  • Packaging photographs

  • Other information reasonably required to investigate the claim

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may affect the ability of VelvetDrop to process the claim.

11. Returns & Exchanges

Return and exchange eligibility depends on the product and the applicable Return & Refund Policy displayed on the website.

Unless otherwise stated, products must be:

  • Unused

  • Unwashed

  • Undamaged

  • In their original packaging

  • Accompanied by the original accessories and applicable documentation

Products that have been used, altered, damaged, or opened may not qualify for return.

Certain products, including customized products and certain personal-use products such as perfumes/attar, may be non-returnable once opened or used.

12. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, the refund will generally be processed through the original payment method or another method communicated by VelvetDrop.

The time taken for the amount to reflect in the customer's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or financial institution.

Shipping charges, customization charges, processing charges, or other non-refundable amounts may be excluded from refunds where applicable.

13. Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation before an order enters processing, production, customization, or dispatch.

Cancellation requests after processing or customization has commenced may not be accepted.

For corporate and bulk orders, cancellation terms will depend on the agreed quotation, invoice, purchase order, or commercial agreement.

14. Promotions & Discounts

VelvetDrop may periodically offer promotional discounts, coupon codes, special pricing, or other promotional campaigns.

Unless specifically stated:

  • Promotions cannot be combined.

  • Promotions cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • VelvetDrop may modify or discontinue a promotion at any time.

  • Promotional offers may have specific eligibility requirements.

15. Intellectual Property

All content appearing on the VelvetDrop website, including but not limited to:

  • Logos

  • Brand names

  • Product photographs

  • Graphics

  • Designs

  • Text

  • Videos

  • Website layout

  • Marketing materials

is owned by or licensed to VelvetDrop and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, republished, or commercially used without prior written permission from VelvetDrop.

16. Customer-Submitted Content

If a customer provides photographs, logos, artwork, text, branding material, or other content for customization, the customer represents that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use that content.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not infringe any third-party intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

17. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems.

  • Introduce malicious software or harmful code.

  • Interfere with the website's operation.

  • Use automated systems to scrape or copy website content without permission.

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

  • Use VelvetDrop's content or branding without authorization.

18. Third-Party Services

VelvetDrop may use third-party services, including payment gateways, courier companies, logistics providers, technology providers, and other service providers.

The availability and operation of such services may be subject to the respective third party's terms and policies.

VelvetDrop is not responsible for failures or delays caused solely by third-party service providers, subject to applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VelvetDrop shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from the use of the website or purchase of products.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Force Majeure

VelvetDrop shall not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, governmental restrictions, strikes, transportation disruptions, technical failures, pandemics, war, civil unrest, or other unforeseen events.
